PolarCool AB (publ.) has entered into a new two-year agreement with SHL club Malmö Redhawks for the use of PolarCap® in concussion treatment. Under the agreement, the Redhawks will integrate PolarCap® as a standardized part of their medical protocols for acute concussion management.

The Malmö Redhawks are committed to leading the way in player health and safety. By incorporating PolarCap®, the club further strengthens its proactive efforts to address the serious risks of head injuries faced by ice hockey players.

Malmö Redhawks Sport Director Oscar Alsenfelt comments:

-As the person with sporting responsibility for the organization, it is obvious to me that we must ensure our players receive the best possible care, especially when it comes to serious head injuries. The fact that we continue to enable our players to be treated with PolarCap® if they suffer a head injury is an important part of that work.

PolarCool develops the PolarCap®, which is used to alleviate the effects of concussions through early cooling. The primary customers are sports clubs and training facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball.

The agreement with Malmö Redhawks is strategically important for PolarCool as it further strengthens the company’s position in European elite ice hockey and demonstrates that more clubs recognize the value of making the treatment available to their players.
