The exploration company Lappland Guldprospektering has identified two areas with elevated gold grades at Löparen west of Lycksele after 70 bedrock drill holes, according to a press release. The grades were generally low, but the northern anomaly was previously unknown and contained the program’s highest grade of 0.056 grams of gold per tonne. The company plans denser drilling in winter 2026/2027 to evaluate the findings.""The program did what we wanted it to do. We drilled sparsely and cost-effectively over a large area to find where we should look more closely, and now we have two leads to work on, one of which we did not know about earlier. The next step is to drill more densely around them this winter," comments CEO Fredrik Johansson.
