Finwire about Nidhogg Resources Holding AB: Nidhogg gets the green light for crushing and recycling of stockpiled mine material in Vintjärn (update)

(update from paragraph four)The commodities company Nidhogg Resources has received notice of precautionary measures from Falu kommun, which enables continued planning ahead of the start of operations in Vintjärn.The company is now moving forward with the establishment of a crushing plant and infrastructure, with a preliminary start of operations in the third quarter of 2026. The project includes crushing and recycling of historically stockpiled mine material. The mine closed in 1978. - It is a project that, for the time being, is expected to continue for one to two years depending on the production rate and availability of material, says Niclas Biornstad to Finwire. When asked how much material will be handled, the Nidhogg Resources chief answers the following.- Initially we have permission to handle 37,000 mt of material. That will be revised and likely expanded as production progresses. The material’s base is gneiss and contains magnetite from the historical mining, with occurrences of both iron and manganese. The intention is to keep the equipment. - The plan is for this operation to continue at other similar locations where the company handles and recycles waste rock using the same equipment or with minor modifications, says the Nidhogg Resources chief.
